The 6th Grade - Scalia Team started the second half of the season with something to prove this past weekend in the Elk River Tournament. The Elk River Tournament set itself up as what some might say is a small preview of what the State Tournament in March may look like, when the tournament hosted 8 teams from the group of the top 16 teams in the state from  2015.

Stillwater started its run at 2nd Place on Saturday with a win over Andover 18-12 to start the weekend and shake off the holiday rust.. Next they faced a tough Elk River team, and in nail biting fashion came away with a 48-47 victory, setting themselves up for what would prove to be a challenging and difficult run at the Championship on Sunday.

First up on Sunday for Stillwater in the semi-final match up was the 2015 5th Place finishing team of OMGBA.. Stillwater came out of the matchup with a 32-27 victory, securing themselves a spot in the Championship Game against last years number 1 team in the State, STMA (Saint Micheal-Albertville)!

In the Championship Game Stillwater held their own and fought extremely hard but came up short in a 28-38 loss.
