If your a fan of basketball and like the last minute finishes to ball games you would have very much enjoyed the 5th Grade games this past weekend in St. Michael/Albertville...

The ladies started their weekend out late Saturday afternoon against the host team STMA at 4pm. The 5th Graders faced STMA earlier in the season and beat them, but this was their home tournament.. Thus, they took our Stillwater ladies to overtime but the Ponies came out on top 28-24.. 

The second game of the weekend matched the Stillwater Ladies up with Anoka-Ramsey. The game was close down the stretch and the Ponies again took the W (34-29) and went home looking forward to a shot at 1st Place against a very difficult OMGBA team at 9am Sunday.

The Championship game offered everything you would want to see in a Championship Game with great play and hard fought baskets and of course overtime.. After a tense overtime period filled with close shots and coaches on the floor when they shouldn't be, the Ponies came up just short of their goal, coming away with a hard fought 2nd Place in a 27-29 point loss..
