On Jan. 16th the Stillwater 8th Grade Black Girls Basketball Team participated in an invite only tournament at Bloomington Kennedy High School. The tournament is run by MYAS in conjunction with the Minnesota Timberwolves and Minnesota Lynx’s whereby the top 8 teams in the state at the 5th thru 8th Grade age levels are invited to play in this one day only tournament. The tournament is highly competitive and a lot of fun for the teams participating and the top 2 finishers in each age group are awarded tickets to a Timberwolves Game at Target Center…

The Stillwater 8th Grade Black Team played extremely well in the Jan. 16th Tournament and finished in 2nd Place earning themselves a trip to a Timberwolves game which they attended on Saturday night… in addition to being able to meet Lindsay Whalen on the Court following the game..

Congrats 8th Grade Black on a great Tournament and good luck this weekend in Edina!!!
