Please continue to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously and make healthy choices!
The impacts of this pandemic are evident in the tremendous efforts being invested to get the academic year launched.
While decisions are yet to be made about the winter sports seasons, the personal commitment to improve yourself on a day-to-day basis remains as important as ever. The concept is bigger than basketball, although it does apply to the game.
If you haven't already,, identify your 2020-21 team and personal goals. And then, with those in mind, intentionally/purposefully choose to improve your basketball skills.
Remember, too, that doesn't always require having a ball in your hands.

On Saturday, October 12, the Minnesota State High School Coaches Association annual awards banquet was held at the Sheraton Minneapolis West Hotel in Minnetonka. This banquet, attended by more than 500 high school coaches, families and friends from across the state, recognized the 2019 Hall Of Fame inductees, distinguished service, leadership, and other award winners.
Receiving the 2018-19 Assistant Coach Of The Year Award for Class 4AAAA schools was Stillwater assistant girls basketball coach Dean Stambaugh. Accompanying Coach Dean to the MSHSCA Banquet were his wife, Stacy, Head Coach Willie Taylor, and assistant coaches Sherm Danielson and Dave Belke.
Coach Dean stated. "It's a privilege to be a part of this Stillwater basketball program, and I am honored to be recognized by the Coaches Association in this way."
